About this Workshop

Talking to your child about sex, consent, identity, and relationships can feel challenging, but these conversations are an important part of helping kids grow into confident, healthy, and respectful adults.

Watch this previously hosted session with Peace at Home Expert Amy Alamar, Ed.D. for a workshop that will help you approach these topics with greater confidence and ease. You’ll learn practical ways to create open, honest conversations, support your child’s developing identity, discuss consent, and help them understand what healthy and safe relationships look like.

This recorded workshop encourages a sex-positive approach, recognizing that sexuality is a natural part of life and development. You’ll leave with strategies you can use right away to strengthen communication, build trust, and support your child’s well-being.

After this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Apply strategies to help you feel confident about stepping out of your comfort zone
  • Recognize the importance of supporting your child’s identity and relationships
  • Apply effective approaches to discussing consent with your child
  • Apply strategies to help your child recognize the importance of safety in relationships
