Your 2025 Look-Back and 2026 Dream Forward
As we spend December wrapped in holiday traditions and family time, it’s a powerful moment to pause. Before rushing into resolutions, we invite you to take a breath, look back, and take stock.
Why bother with reflection and goal-setting? Because there is power in knowing where we’ve been, recognizing what we’ve learned, and celebrating the joys we often rush past. And there is equally great power in imagining where we want to go—then building a gentle, flexible roadmap that helps us get there with intention, clarity, and maybe even a little more calm.
We encourage you to begin with some personal reflection:
Use the handout with questions we’ve linked here to support this process. It includes prompts to help you celebrate, explore challenges, understand family dynamics, and dream forward—all rooted in Peace At Home’s parenting principles like modeling, connection, and emotional intelligence
Once you’ve had a chance to reflect personally and together, it’s time to invite the kids.
Gather Together to Celebrate and Dream
You don’t need to go overboard—you can do a little or a lot. Whether it’s an hour over snacks or a series of short chats, this is about connection and collaboration.
Set the Tone
Reflect on 2025
Use the reflection questions to talk about favorite memories, surprising joys, and what you learned from the tough stuff.
Dream Forward for 2026
Celebrate Efforts
Don’t wait for big wins to celebrate. Acknowledge effort, growth, and teamwork along the way. Maybe monthly dessert check-ins or a family high-five tradition.
One Last Thought Remember: Life is the journey. As Alfred Souza said, “There is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.” Whether you reflect on one question or twenty, set one goal or a dozen, you’re doing the work that builds connection, resilience, and joy. Progress, not perfection. Connection over correction. Snacks always help.
Happy Holidays, wishing you Peace at Home in 2026.
