Challenges & Solutions

Are you ready to shift from managing the details of your child’s life to guiding them with a coach’s mindset? Join Peace At Home Experts Aaron Weintraub, MS, and Tanika Eaves, PhD, as they focus on the critical parenting approaches that support tweens through young adulthood.

Starting in the pre-teen years, we’ll explore key strategies that help foster independence while nurturing emotional growth and strong problem-solving skills. You’ll learn how to gradually shift from being the “CEO” of your child’s life to something more like a coach, supporting their development, empowering their decision-making, and helping them build the skills they need.

By the end of this workshop, you’ll be equipped with practical, actionable strategies that help your child develop the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to thrive. Come learn to coach your child through the journey to independent adulthood with confidence, resilience, and self-sufficiency.

If you have questions or topics you’d like addressed during the session, email us at Solutions@PeaceAtHomeParenting.com. You can also ask questions throughout the session.

Challenges & Solutions

  • Are you constantly solving your child’s problems?
  • Do conflicts arise over challenges that might not be yours to fix?
  • Do you wish your child could handle challenges more effectively?

This workshop will help you identify who “owns” a problem—whether it’s yours or your child’s responsibility—and how to approach it. By understanding this distinction, you can avoid unnecessary conflicts, reduce stress, and empower your child to become a capable problem solver.

When teens see themselves as problem solvers, they’re less likely to engage in risky behaviors, including substance use or self-harm. Teaching your child how to solve problems strengthens their emotional intelligence, preparing them for success in relationships, at work, and in life now and in the future. Join Peace at Home Founder Ruth E Freeman, LCSW to explore strategies that make life easier for you and your family while fostering your child’s independence and resilience.
