Learn to parent your independent, emerging adult, while still nurturing the playful child. You will have the opportunity to explore and prepare for real-life situations. Participant will be able to:

  • Start and maintain an open dialogue
  • Develop an authentic and honest relationship with your child
  • Support your child in dealing with his/her social life
  • Discuss difficult subjects openly and positively

Less Conflict, More Solutions

No matter the age of your child, you've probably experienced some difficulty that's led to an argument. Whether the conflict lasts a moment or a month, it can leave parent and child feeling hurt or frustrated or both. Learn how to work with your child to work together to find solutions to conflict, which will strengthen your relationship. 

After this session, you will be able to:

  • Learn how to talk with your child/student about problems without judging or criticizing
  • Find ways to work together as a team to find solutions that work for both family member and child
  • Gain tools to resolve conflicts peacefully and teach these skills to youth so they can solve their own conflicts when you are not there
