About This Workshop

Emotional Intelligence is a well-developed concept and a powerful asset in achieving well-being and success in all aspects of life. In this class you will have an opportunity explore the importance of these ideas and strengthen your ability to build emotional intelligence in your child.

After this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Recognize how emotions were handled in their childhoods and how these experiences may influence relationships today
  • Define emotional intelligence and recognize its importance in everyday family life and outcomes for children
  • Analyze who “owns” any given child problem and apply strategies that build children’s problem-solving skills
  • Apply effective communication skills that build emotional intelligence in children
