Parenting has never been simple—and today’s young people are growing up in a world filled with stress, identity questions, academic and social pressures, and constant digital connection. These experiences can affect mental health in powerful ways, and many parents are left wondering: What’s normal? What’s a red flag? And how do I keep my child safe?
This Lunch & Learn Conversation offers a supportive and practical space for parents and caregivers to talk openly about suicide prevention through the lens of protecting kids’ mental health. Peace At Home founder Ruth Freeman, LCSW will be talking with Aimee Prange, LCSW who spent nearly two decades with a national health care organization where she served as Clinical Director for Suicide Prevention Strategy. Together, we’ll explore what helps young people feel connected, supported, and safe—starting with everyday parent-child moments that build trust over time.
Parents will have time throughout the conversation to ask questions, reflect on real-life scenarios, and leave feeling more supported in how to stay present and responsive when their child needs them most.
