About this Workshop

Raising a daughter in today’s world feels more complex than ever. You want to raise her to be confident and strong, but you also worry about the pressures she faces—from friendships and social media to a culture that’s constantly sending mixed messages about her worth.  You want to be her guide, her soft place to land, but sometimes it feels like you’re speaking a different language.

What if the secret to navigating it all isn’t a list of rules, but the strength of your connection with her?

This workshop is about becoming the calm, confident guide your daughter needs. We’ll explore how your secure and loving relationship can be the anchor that holds her steady through the stormy seas of growing up. We start from a simple, powerful belief: deep down, your daughter is good, and her behavior is just her way of communicating what she needs. Our job is to listen underneath the words.

You are your daughter’s most important relationship. Join Peace at Home Experts Tanika Eaves, PhD, LCSW, IMH-E®, and Aaron Weintraub, MS, to learn how to strengthen that connection and become the secure anchor she can count on, no matter what challenges come her way.

After this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Nurture True Confidence: Move beyond simple praise and learn how to cultivate a deep, unshakable sense of self-esteem that comes from within, not from outside approval. We’ll talk about how to encourage her independence and leadership in a way that feels authentic to her.
  • Become Her Anchor in a World of Comparison: Get practical tools for talking about body image and self-worth. Learn how to build a powerful bond that acts as a buffer against the pressures of social media, perfectionism, and anxiety.
  • Navigate Shifting Friendships: Understand the challenging world of girls’ social dynamics. We’ll give you scripts for helping her handle peer pressure and bullying, all while ensuring you remain her primary source of guidance and values.
  • Welcome Her Big Feelings: Learn to be a safe harbor for all of her emotions—from anxiety and worry to sadness and fear.  We’ll practice how to show deep empathy for her feelings while holding firm, loving boundaries on her behavior.
  • Talk About the Hard Stuff: Approach sensitive conversations about puberty, menstruation, and growing up with connection and confidence, making them moments that build trust rather than create distance.
  • Mend the Connection After a Fight: Discover why reconnecting after a difficult moment is the most powerful tool you have for building a resilient, trusting, and lifelong bond.
